Whenever I started to write a secret, or a guide in Runescape, I would do some research first. I would research into what exactly my customers are looking for.

So, I did, and I found out that thousands of players are searching for, “how to make million in Runescape?”

This is a real common question. When I first started doing survey for my Runescape guide back in 2006, this question came up as the Top #1 question ever asked by almost all Runescape players.

That’s why today, my Runescape guide is called, “Insider To Millions“. It simply means the insider guide to making millions in Runescape.

I will teach you my entire how to, strategies, secrets and also place where you can make mil in it.

Since you took your precious time to read this article today, I will share with you how to make mil in Runescape.

The only group of players asking this question would be Runescape players that just got on the game itself.

So, I would assume that you don’t have high skills, high combat and very low gp. That’s why you want to learn how to make mill in Runescape fast, right?

So, let me give you one of my favourite strategies to making your millions in Runescape. You might have heard this before, but until you become a millionaire, please don’t tell me it does not work!

There are 2 parts to the entire process of making your first million in Runescape.

The first part involved getting you from zero gp to 100k gp. So, if you have at least 100k gp in your bank, then maybe you can skip this part.

The second part will bring you from 100k gp to 1mil fast.

So, let’s get started on the first part.

The next two options you have for getting to your first 100k both deal with combat.

The first option is to kill cows for cowhide. Cowhide is worth over 100 gp each and you can get your combat up a bit while getting it.

Cowhide is used by many rich players who need a quick boost in their crafting level.

There are many cow pens in Runescape but I’ll show you the three best ones (in my opinion).

These three are the closest ones to a bank in the free world.

The first place is near Lumbridge. This location has many ripe cows for you to cut down, but it is usually more crowded than the other two places I will show you.

Getting there isn’t hard at all. Start out at Lumbridge castle. Walk east until you see a bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the paved road north.

You should see the cows to the side of the paved road a few steps ahead.

The two other places are both near Falador.

The first one is closer to the bank but it is also usually crowded. To get there, start in Falador (refer to the earlier explanation of how to get to Falador).

Walk towards the south gate of Falador. When you get to the gate, follow the paved road south a few steps but stop when you see a farm to the east.

Follow the wall of the farm to the north side. You should see a cow pen there. You can collect your cowhides here. You should try to keep the cow pen gate closed.

That way, the cows won’t get out. If a cow gets out, you lose possible valuable time. Who knows, maybe you’ll kill all the cows in record speed and won’t have any others close by.

The final place is also south of Falador. It’s a bit far from the bank, but it’s usually far less crowded than the last two locations.

To get there, follow the road out of Falador south gate.

Keep following the road south until it splits into two directions. Now, follow the road west until it splits again.

Follow the road that leads northwest until you see a large building (Crafting Guild). Follow the building’s wall west until you get to a wooden fence. Open the gate and walk into the pen. You’re there!

With that, you should start killing the cows and keep all the hides and bank them. Collect as many hides as you can get. Cow hides sell for about 100gp in the Grand Exchange for now.

If you collect a total of 1,000 cow hides and sell them, you will get 100k in Runescape fast. But, don’t sell them. Keep the cow hides.

So, what is this 3 Runescape million secrets all about?

It’s real simple! It’s so simple that most people does not regard them highly, that’s why they are not Runescape millionaire today.

The secret to Runescape Millions is hard work, and patience. Simple, isn’t it?

Runescape Million First Secret

When I had first become interested in getting a lot of money, I learned all about cowhides.

Killing cows for their hides is real simple and free. Most people would say this is a noob secrets, but think about it, when you are only level 3, this is the fastest and best way to make your first few thousands of gp.

Grab a sword and head to the cows by Lumbridge. Kill as many as you need for a full inventory, and bank them in the desert.

(Its much easier if you have done the Prince Ali Rescue quest and can get through it for free, if not I suggest walking to the Lumbridge bank, which is a little further.)

After you get a couple hundred, stand in the desert bank and sell them. The last time I sold them it was around 150gp each, I am not sure how much they are now, I suggest checking the Grand Exchange.

If you have a thousand cow hides, and sold them at 150gp each, you would get around 150,000gp. This was great money, and if you kept it up you could get a good million out of it.

Runescape Million Second Secret

The second Runescape million secret I love is flax seeds. It’s real easy to get and you can make a lot of gold from you.

You can always check out the price of flax in the grand exchange. I would strongly encourage storing your flax if prices are low and selling only when prices are high.

At the point of this writing, grand exchange are buying flax seed at 73 gp. So, if you have picked a 1,000 pieces of it, you will easily get 73,000 gp.

Think about it, all you need is to pick 15,000 pieces of it,
you will easily get one million gp in Runescape.

This is not a noob secret, this is one of the easiest and smartest way to make your first million in Runescape.

Of course, to pick 15,000 pieces of it, it will take some time, that’s why I say for a start, you need hard work and patience.

Runescape Million Third Secret

My third favourite Runescape million secret would be to mine for iron ores. Once you mine for iron ores, smith them into steel bars.

Steel bars, at this point of writing, are selling at 857gp. That is a lot of gp as compared to the first two secret. All you need is to mine enough iron ores to smith into 1,200 steel bars, you are already a millionaire.
This is really an easy, simple way to make Runescape million.

If anyone tells you this is a noob secret, I think they are the only noob who don’t know about Runescape.
Let me give you one more additional bonus secret.

If you have a mining level of 85 or higher, mining Runite ore is the best thing for you. Don’t worry about loosing that rune pickaxe in the wilderness!

Unlike the rumors tell you, there are quite a few more places that you can mine it. There are two rocks in the Heroes Guild, one inside the Lava Maze, there are some in the Mines east of Jastizo, in the cave that leads to the Light Temple, and of course the Wilderness.

You can also get them from Rock Golems in random events. Its around 12,000gp an ore if selling to a person.
Sell 100 Runite ores, and you have about 1,200,000gp. Sell 1000 Runite ores… and you get something like a whopping 120,000,000! Of course mining 1000 Runite ores would take a long time, the reward is mighty.

Runescape Grand Exchage, as you know by now, can trade (buy or sell) up to six items at a time. Free players are limited to two trading slots at a time.

If the item is a hot item, then it will be bought or sold in just a moment. You can buy or sell as much of one item at a time if you like. Just note there a limit rule for every item as discussed in this first post.

To sell, for instance, if you have 500 polar kebbit fur to sell, all your furs will only take up one slot in your trading menu.

What Items To Sell In Runescape Grand Exchange?

Ever since free trading is taken away, all buying and selling will be done through the Runescape Grand Exchange. This exactly make a great place to be a millionaire very fast in Runescape.

You can sell any items in the Runescape Grand Exchange that’s in demand. You can always get a fair price for the items you have. Just remember to always check out the prices to make you sell for a good price.

One example is swamp tar ““ you can pick this up off the ground in Lumbridge swamp. You can sell between 200 and 250 gp. Of course, don’t hold my words for it, because as you are reading this, it might increase a lot more or drop rock bottom.

It all have to do with demand and supply.

One thing I totally love selling in Runescape Grand Exchange is that, I don’t have to wait for the items to be sold.

I can put my item for sale, and I will go to gather more items, and once my items are sold, the exchange will notified me.

If you remember me telling you before, it works exactly like the real world stock exchange. When I put in my order to buy or sell, all I need is to key in my orders and the trading system will take of the rest.

It is really simple!

What Items To Buy In Runescape Grand Exchange?

One of the most common questions after Runescape players see a potential in making millions is to ask, “what items to buy?”

This is a very smart question, yet at the same time it’s a very stupid question.

Let me explain why.

For the Runescape Grand Exchange, it’s not the skill of me telling you what items to buy. Why?

Because by the time you read this, the prices for the items would have change. I can tell you the items I make money from, however, by the time this piece of information gets to you, it’s no longer valid.

So, this real skill in Runescape Grand Exchange, is the skill of learn how to trade well. Buying Low and Selling High.

I know this is a very general rule.

So, rather than me telling you which item to buy, which is just to feed you the fish itself, I will teach you the skill of how to do it yourself, as if, I’m teaching you how to fish for yourself for the rest of your life.

Remember, never ask someone what items to buy, rather ask, what items is going to be in demand in the next one to two weeks?

Those are the items that’s going to make you the huge profits.

Runescape Grand Exchange was introduced in 2007. Other Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games like Word of Warcraft and many others have what we called auction houses.

The Runescape Grand Exchange created by Jagex, was first of its kind and have several unique features which I will go through as you read on.

Free World Trading vs Runescape Grand Exchange

Before the switch to the grand exchange, Runescape is a world of free trading. Every player can buy or sell gold and/or items freely among themselves. This creates a huge problem for Jagex.

Thousands of website sprung up all over the places to sell Runescape gold and items for real cash. And Jagex treat this very seriously.

So, in order to stop this from happening, and thousands of other players paying cash to other website rather than Jagex themselves, they switch to the grand exchange system.

This greatly impacted millions of players, as most of them quit, only a handful of them cracked the code of the Runescape Grand Exchange and multiply their wealth in Runescape many hundred folds.

Runescape Grand Exchange vs Real World Stock Exchange

I love to relate Runescape Grand Exchange as almost similar to the real world stock exchange. And if you track the history of human development, our ancestors started off as free traders too, until we have a centralized trading system now.

If you buy item A in USA, and another player sells item A in Australia, if both your order matched, the exchange will match the order.

This works exactly like the stock exchange.

Thousands of adults lose and make millions of real cash in the stock exchange every day.
In the world of Runescape, players make and lose money too.

And because I make money trading the stock exchange, so it only makes sense for me to make millions of gp in Runescape too.

Who You Buy And Sell To?

In the Real World Stock Exchange, there is no way to know who you sell or buy the stocks from.

This applies exactly to the Runescape Grand Exchange. As mentioned, it is a centralize system on which all orders for buying and selling are matched accordingly.

For example, if you have a Buy offer for item A, the exchange will note that right away and search within its database for a seller who wants to sell item A.

Once the orders are matched, then your screen will show that the trades are done. This is how the stock exchange works too.

Lastly, I would like to say that thousands of Runescape players never understand how to leverage on the grand exchange to make millions of gp every day.

Most average player lose their gold in the exchange, rather than making money. After several trial of losing and frustration, they decided that grand exchange doesn’t enable them to make money. That’s totally false!

The reason I said that is because there is a system where I just need to work less than 5 minutes per day, and I can go on to making millions of gold using the Runescape Grand Exchange.

Almost every Runescape players would ask this question, “how to make runescape millions?” There was a time where it was really easy to make millions in Runescape.

That was possible with free trading and wilderness. Now times have changed, making millions must be done on Runescape Grand Exchange.

Ever since the Jagex removed the possibility of free trading and wilderness, and introduce the trade limits, thousands of players were affected.

They were stuck because it was no longer easy to make Runescape millions. Still, thousands of Runescape players would email me and ask me, “how to make Runescape millions?”

Personally, I am make a lot more millions now in Runescape than ever before. That’s because of the New Rules of Runescape Grand Exchange, and also by using this strategy called Merchanting.

What is Runescape Merchanting?

Runescape merchanting is merely following a very simple concept, Buy Low, Sell High.

Since the removal of free trade, Jagex limits on how much gp a player could profit for every 15 minutes. Not only that, they stopped the “free trading” to introduce the Runescape Grand Exchange, for the fact that players can make a lot more Runescape millions, without spending lots of time now.

That’s why, all players must rejoice for the new rules of Runescape Grand Exchange.

Basic Concept of the Runescape Grand Exchange

All items in Runescape have a market price. You can buy the item between a range of 5% below and 5% above the market price.

For example, an item costs 100 gp, you can buy it from 95 gp to 105 gp. The price of the item rarely stays constant. This is because of the simple law of demand and supply.

The Runescape Grand Exchange is a global system. It works exactly like our real human world of the stock exchange. Everyone can buy and/or sell on the exchange, that’s how
you can learn how to make Runescape millions.

Once you set up an offer to buy, the system will find the closet match as soon as possible. Once it’s found, your offer will be complete and you can have the item you bought or you get the amount of gp you sold it for.

Limits of Runescape Grand Exchange

Jagex is very smart. In order to prevent rich players like myself to “drive the market” by putting up a buy offer for buying thousands of quantity of a particular item, they limit the amount of each item.

For example, the limit for an item at 100 gp is 1,000. If you decide to buy 4,000 amount of that item, Runescape Grand Exchange only take it as an offer for 1,000 of items and match it.

Four hours later, then the exchange will find matches for another 1,000 copies of the items, and continues till all 4,000 of your offer is completed.

This means, you need to wait at least 16 hours later, before your offer is fully completed. The limit varies with each different item available.

For example, bows is around 1,000 per four hours. Armor is 100 per four hours. Portions are nearly 500. But remember, there’s no limit at all on the number of items you can sell per hour, only when you buy them.

How to Merchant Using The Runescape Grand Exchange?

Using the simple rule as mentioned above, buy lowest and sell for the highest is the old age rule.

This does NOT work anymore. There is a new strategy for merchanting now. That is using the drip method, which is to take small profits for bigger accumulation of wealth.

This is done by only limit to 7% ““ 8% profit each trade. No more no less.

This will ensure a good steady income without a major time loss. You should always add more profits to your capital every single day. This is why is called the drip method where you can make lots more gp than just trading with same amount of money.

For example: If you have 10 millions gp, and you just focus on a 10% profit every day. So after each day, you will have 1 million profit, right?

This means after 10 days, you will have 20 millions in total, 10 millions capital + 10 millions profits.

But, if you add your profits each day into your capital, you will get the same amount of 20 millions gp in just 6 days.

That’s 40% more efficient and 4 days less to get the same amount of 20 millions gp. Now that’s what I called smart trading, and drip strategy.
