How To Make Runescape Millions On Runescape Grand Exchange? |
75 Comments posted in Runescape Millions |
Almost every Runescape players would ask this question, “how to make runescape millions?” There was a time where it was really easy to make millions in Runescape.
That was possible with free trading and wilderness. Now times have changed, making millions must be done on Runescape Grand Exchange.
Ever since the Jagex removed the possibility of free trading and wilderness, and introduce the trade limits, thousands of players were affected.
They were stuck because it was no longer easy to make Runescape millions. Still, thousands of Runescape players would email me and ask me, “how to make Runescape millions?”
Personally, I am make a lot more millions now in Runescape than ever before. That’s because of the New Rules of Runescape Grand Exchange, and also by using this strategy called Merchanting.
What is Runescape Merchanting?
Runescape merchanting is merely following a very simple concept, Buy Low, Sell High.
Since the removal of free trade, Jagex limits on how much gp a player could profit for every 15 minutes. Not only that, they stopped the “free trading” to introduce the Runescape Grand Exchange, for the fact that players can make a lot more Runescape millions, without spending lots of time now.
That’s why, all players must rejoice for the new rules of Runescape Grand Exchange.
Basic Concept of the Runescape Grand Exchange
All items in Runescape have a market price. You can buy the item between a range of 5% below and 5% above the market price.
For example, an item costs 100 gp, you can buy it from 95 gp to 105 gp. The price of the item rarely stays constant. This is because of the simple law of demand and supply.
The Runescape Grand Exchange is a global system. It works exactly like our real human world of the stock exchange. Everyone can buy and/or sell on the exchange, that’s how
you can learn how to make Runescape millions.
Once you set up an offer to buy, the system will find the closet match as soon as possible. Once it’s found, your offer will be complete and you can have the item you bought or you get the amount of gp you sold it for.
Limits of Runescape Grand Exchange
Jagex is very smart. In order to prevent rich players like myself to “drive the market” by putting up a buy offer for buying thousands of quantity of a particular item, they limit the amount of each item.
For example, the limit for an item at 100 gp is 1,000. If you decide to buy 4,000 amount of that item, Runescape Grand Exchange only take it as an offer for 1,000 of items and match it.
Four hours later, then the exchange will find matches for another 1,000 copies of the items, and continues till all 4,000 of your offer is completed.
This means, you need to wait at least 16 hours later, before your offer is fully completed. The limit varies with each different item available.
For example, bows is around 1,000 per four hours. Armor is 100 per four hours. Portions are nearly 500. But remember, there’s no limit at all on the number of items you can sell per hour, only when you buy them.
How to Merchant Using The Runescape Grand Exchange?
Using the simple rule as mentioned above, buy lowest and sell for the highest is the old age rule.
This does NOT work anymore. There is a new strategy for merchanting now. That is using the drip method, which is to take small profits for bigger accumulation of wealth.
This is done by only limit to 7% ““ 8% profit each trade. No more no less.
This will ensure a good steady income without a major time loss. You should always add more profits to your capital every single day. This is why is called the drip method where you can make lots more gp than just trading with same amount of money.
For example: If you have 10 millions gp, and you just focus on a 10% profit every day. So after each day, you will have 1 million profit, right?
This means after 10 days, you will have 20 millions in total, 10 millions capital + 10 millions profits.
But, if you add your profits each day into your capital, you will get the same amount of 20 millions gp in just 6 days.
That’s 40% more efficient and 4 days less to get the same amount of 20 millions gp. Now that’s what I called smart trading, and drip strategy.
Try this method, and I really wish you too can really learn how to make Runescape millions using Runescape Grand Exchange like I do.

August 30th, 2009 at 1:09 pm
What you need to do basicaly is, buy something in quantity at the G.E. (for a fairly cheap price) then sell it for only a few extra gp you’ll get profit slowly, hope i helped
August 30th, 2009 at 1:32 pm
There is no easy ways to make millions, you have to improve a skill and work at it.you can do this on the side but u should really train.for examplE you make 32mill from 1-99 hunter.
August 30th, 2009 at 3:38 pm
there is an easy way, really. Just go with a very large clan, buy very much of 1 specific item, go on with this until the price you want it to have is reached, and then sell it. Certain clans (like “be mercher” or “2lum” already do this)
August 30th, 2009 at 3:39 pm
WHAT U NEED IS AROUND 1MIL TO START WITH BUY RUNE 2H’S LOWEST THEN SELL HIGHEST
HOPE I HELPED

August 30th, 2009 at 6:33 pm
I’d love to buy your book, but my parents won’t let me. Idk why. I’ve tried asking them why, and I’ve even shown them the parenting book you sent in the e-mail. It didn’t work. I’d love to buy your book. (This article is a little hard to follow. Can you explain the method you use just a little bit more?)
August 30th, 2009 at 7:52 pm
its not quite that easy. in order to do this you need to find items tht are bought and sold for very different amounts of money. what yo need to do is incorporate your money into training skills. Such as mage. Get 33 mage so you can do tele grab, and buy 1k laws. then go to chaos temple at north west part of free world. you tele grab on the wines of zammorak untill you have 1k wines. Then sell for 1k ea. in g.e.. you just turned 300k into 1.1 mil, and trained about 5 mage levels.
August 30th, 2009 at 7:54 pm
Merchanting, is worth while, im sure you can do with around 100-200k worth, buying something like vials etc, or bows like he mentioned above, although most bows are slow income:S
Hope i helped
August 30th, 2009 at 8:58 pm
i recently purchased 500 rubys for 1.9kea i was worcking with a large merching clan. however some people couldn’t wait and dumped them right away. so buy rubys and sell for 5k

August 30th, 2009 at 10:19 pm
get 1 mil buy 1k str pots(3) then go to the herd guy in ge and then ask him to “decant” i think thats ho you spell it then in no time you’ll have 750 str (4) pots and 250 vials sell those and make moore profit
August 30th, 2009 at 11:58 pm
Its not like he can actually say which items to use on here, because runescape is constantly changing, and by giving direct examples, than everyone will know which items to use and they won’t work anymore. We are just given the basic idea, and from there you have to test and find your own items. Its not that hard to understand, just buy an item you think will work for a lower pricer, than sell it for a little bit more. You have to find the items that work for you though…

here is the best way to make money…
back when i first became a member i bought 5 granite mauls for 30k…now i sold they for over 230k each
so choose an item that costs alot…hold onto it for a couple weeks…then sell it and voila you got prolly 100k profit (depends on the item)
August 31st, 2009 at 3:51 am
Callum does the Rune 2h thing really work?
I think the guys main idea is that if you make 10 percent of your money a day…
like, if I had 2m, I would make 200k, and then I would have 2.2m, so I would have to make 220k and so on. not sure if I am correct though.

One of the previous items I saw (and use to merch) was Verac helms. At the time they were 2-2.5mil, and now they are in the 3mil area. Same with whips.
The way I did it was go to the Grand Exchange page on Runescape’s main page. Find an item that has increased over time. Depending on how much money you have, stock up on that certain item. Eventually, if the item is increasing (such as the Verac helm) you would be able to sell your item for a great profit. I originally bought 4 verac helms at 2mil apiece, and sold just recently for 3.4mil apiece. Thats 1.4mil profit PER helm. So in total, thats roughly 5.6mil profit!
Hope that helped and gave you an idea of how merching works!
Best of luck!

keep picking items that monsters drop then sell it in grand exchange. earn 1000gp a day 100 days later 100k easy right
September 1st, 2009 at 9:22 am
you can also try to save 2000gp-5000gp a day 100 days later you will have 200K-500K already remember to set a bank pin or else when people hack your account the first thing they do is go to bank and steal your money
September 1st, 2009 at 9:23 am
if you can earn 10K a day 100 days later 1000K
September 1st, 2009 at 9:25 am

if you dont believe try saving 1000gp for 10 days you will already have 10K
if 100 days 100K
if you can save 9000gp like me 100Days later you will have 900K already
September 1st, 2009 at 9:32 am
just try to sell 28 bones in grand exchange you will receive 2000 over gp
September 1st, 2009 at 11:28 am
this is a very basic and at unacurate costs. Basicly, your aim is to increase your wealth by small percentages upon the completion of each merch. eg you buy 1000 nature runes at 2-3gp below market price. Once you have all of the runes you sell them at market price. Thus making small profits with every buy and sell. Then u do this again with all the accumulated profit. As time goes on you will get more of the item with each purchase e.g the first purchase was 1000 so the next will be 1027, then 1060,1100,1150,1270 and so on and your wealth will increase with each sell. alternatly, you can study the g.e and see when an item is at its lowest sale price, stock up on it then wait for the the market for that item to increase, thus increasing your profit.

That’s smart explanation Kerban!
Great that you have managed to understand what I’m
explaining over here. Keep it up!
September 1st, 2009 at 3:14 pm
i really appreciate that u explained the process of functioning of the G.E but please can you upload some free and cool stuff from your book “runescape guide to millions” for unlucky guys like me whose parents are not allowing to buy your great book.
(it would be appreciated by all if you blog/upload/e-mail some methods of merchanting preferably with examples of items in G.E)
for eg –> buy this “item” at “?”gp and sell at
“?”gp.
Thanking you
Sahil

he has a good merching idea and he tells a small bit about it and if your interested get your parents to buy it for you if they wont forget it every dog has his day
September 2nd, 2009 at 10:04 am

September 2nd, 2009 at 10:22 am

spending the money.

September 3rd, 2009 at 1:41 am
could u tell something like sample items please?
September 3rd, 2009 at 4:36 pm
i love the idea of spending like 10Mill to get like 20mill. but i only have like 500k(it really sucks) what do i do and what can i buy.
September 3rd, 2009 at 9:59 pm
Really the best way to make money is to get your skills up especially woodcutting and fishing for non members and hunter and theving for members. because most players are smart enough NOT to sell their items for anything less that market prices because this lowers their porfit and they would not want to hurt themselves especially if they spent hours accumulation that item
September 4th, 2009 at 12:10 pm
i like it nice work phil also.. start at atleast 1m
September 4th, 2009 at 5:13 pm
try to get 5mil before you spend it on any thing i would then recomend geting a profitable skill up with some of your gp that you earned.
that way you can profit from teh skill you were tring and make even more gp good luck
September 5th, 2009 at 10:21 am
Okay, listen! Do not merchant in massive merchanting clans, you’ll only make a profit 5% of the time, Yes prices do go up when there is nothing of 1 item in the G.E, but Jagex check’s on this system, therefore meaning they lower the price, so you can make money yourself. Without merchanting, but. Here’s the cathc, clan merchanting way be a waste of time, but single merchanting is awesome especially when the item increases 1-2k or so, this will only usually happen in member’s, or with dear item’s in F2p, but yeh. Hope this helped, thanks. Yours truly, Benjamin.

September 7th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
I have a good way to make money.
go and collect 100 cowhides and then tan them into leather and sell them u will get 20 K and then u can tan 1 K cowhides and sell them for 200 K and at last u can tan 10 K cowhides and get 2.1 million
September 8th, 2009 at 2:28 am
Merchanting rarely profits these days unless you have mass amount of money at your depose.
The fastest way to make money for all levels is skilling. Each skill can make around 30million gp from level 1-99 of course Fishing can make over 100million from level 76-99 by sharks which is a fairly slow method.
For high level players.
please choose to go to GWD instead or fight the copreal beast (sorry if I misspelled) or kill dragons.
September 9th, 2009 at 2:22 am
you can also cut yew logs with a lvl 60 woodcutting. You can also sell cow hides for 150-165 a piece
September 9th, 2009 at 10:25 am

November 16th, 2009 at 2:30 pm
nice guide
December 6th, 2009 at 9:06 pm
well you make good guides but did you ever think that when you buy 1000 of the item and the price goes up that it wont go back down for about a month! you may get money but everyone else has to work hard for extra money to get these items. you are acting like the items are nothing when your actually just ruining the fun of runescape!
December 7th, 2009 at 12:37 am
Hey Orox,
Just based on this comment, it shows that you don’t even have the basic understanding of the Runescape Grand Exchange. And with that, I don’t even think you make millions from the grand exchange itself.
Do you think you can simply control the price of any items just because you bought 1000s of it? Do you know how many millions are transacted on the Runescape Grand Exchange every single day?
Happy Gaming,
Roy
August 14th, 2010 at 11:28 pm
Hey Roy,
Just based on this comment, it shows that you don’t even have the basic understanding of Merch Clans. you know??? the things Jagex wants to be gone. they raise the prices and sell everything back. I’m not talking about 1 person buying thousands. I’m talking about the merch clans buying as many as they can. itz called price manipulation and itz against runescape rules. are you too blind to see this or are you trying to hide the fact that you probably break the runescape rules every day for your own needs. price manipulation is wrong. you are probably in a merch clan yourself and try to deny the fact that you are ruining the game. plz go to hell and take all the price manipulators with you. you dumb little b-tch.
Hope you get hacked,
Orox
