You will need to be really cautious of your money in Runescape! Today, in the Runescape economy, a lot of things are getting very unstable.
I have been noticing a lot of changes in the entire Runescape economy, and if things are not set properly, the whole Runescape money economy will collapse.
With prices fluctuating at all time high, even cheap items have become very expensive. If you notice, this is exactly what happens to our real life economy too.
With that, I will share with you what I have discovered below.
1. Jagex Remove Boss Monster Drops From PvP Worlds
Just a few months ago, I notice Jagex had actually removed all Boss Monster Drops from PvP drop tables. What happened here is a heavy blow to the supplies of popular items like, abyssal whip and barrows armour.
Whenever Jagex removed something, it will affect something else… this is a simple rule of cause and effect.
There are two main reasons that caused this to happen…
a) As Jagex took away Boss Monster Drops, supply was reduced dramatically because of very little chance for drops of borrow items and other Runescape special items.
b) When Runescape special items is gone, like the barrows armour, it will cause a tsunami effect of depletion of armour stock in Runescape.
As Runescape Grand Exchange works on demand and supply, just like the New York Stock Exchange, when there are a shortage of items, what do you think will happen to their prices?
So, if you notice, items like Godswords, Dragon Claws, Abyssal Whips, Saradomin Swords and many other Barrow items’ prices have increased over the months.
2. Jagex Introducing New Drop Systems
When Jagex took away the free trading world 2 years back, they replaced it with the new Runescape Grand Exchange.
With that, Jagex now added in god statuettes, icons and other items into the PvP new drop systems.
From my personal experience and observation, the new drop system is not effective at all, and new introduction have since caused an explosion rise in Runescape money.
Many Runescape players got super rich over night. When I saw this change, I took advantage of it, and make easily another few hundred million gp in my account.
The main reason for that is because these items are not restricted by the law of supply and demand from Runescape itself.
So, with that, I could constantly make profits every time I sell them, and I can multiply my Runescape money without affecting the price of the items whatsoever.
That’s why if you notice, I started to send you more and more secrets over the last two months, as the whole Runescape economy is very unstable.
For the group of friends who have been following me recently, all have made a lot of Runescape money.
Many of them are just normal noobs, they trusted me and followed my advice, and now, they had thousands of millions in Runescape.
With this group of friends in Runescape, we are not affected by all these changes at all, as we know what to do each time a new change comes in.

Very nice tip, for i have also notice the prices are going way up for example abyssal whips were around 2m just a month and a half ago and now they are over 3m. the only good thing to this happening though is for the players who have whips, they just made a 1m profit of them basically.

this is very good article very interesting. if they do raise prices on items rare items, that mean some of the players who have them will make alot of profit, like i did with whips

ever since i had 40m, armadyl godsword was always 20mill ahead, now i have around 90mill, ags is 107m… but i would’nt want it to crash and then over godswords and god armour would crash.

wow this is wow I hate this the rune armour, like a couple of months ago was like 155k now it is almost 200k, well before the Exchange it was 200k…….but w/e

Hey Roy, great info, but the reason behind everything, is the new “merch clans” that are raising the prices to try and make some profit. And Jagex helps with that too, but it’s not always Jagex’s fault, runescape players can cause fluctuation in the Runescape economy.

to all the people posting “how do i make more cash?”
the answer is simple: just follow the advice in the guide. well it doesn’t really advise you anything, but use the grey mass inside your head, commonly known as a brain. the guide says that items that were cheap are now getting price raises.
so even if your IQ is 0.1, you can still get this by using common sense, and buying low priced items, then selling them back when the prices are higher. this “technique” is known as merching (merchanting) and is how most of the rich guys on runescape make their money, along with pking and sometimes skilling.

The abyssal whip tops out at 4m and drops down to 3m. Buy it at 3m, sell at 4, make 1m without doing anything.

Look guys I didn’t come here to be mean but there is *NO* easy way to make money (I’m pretty sure Roy mentioned this) every single way requires alot of patiences and time. Merchanting also takes time aswell, you know ever since the four hour rule.(four hour rule means if you buy something on the Grand Exchange you can’t sell it for another four hours no matter what, this encourages real-world-trading)but no since the trade limit no it’s even harder to make money. Anyways, Roy it was very smart of you to take advantage of this.
