As I check my email every single morning, I would get Runescape players emailing me like…
“My Runescape account is being scammed”, “Please save my Runescape account”, “How to prevent my Runescape account being stolen”, or “My high level account is gone…”
Does that happen to you? Are you one of them too?
Almost all Runescape players encounter their account being stolen. If you are smart, you should learn from your mistakes. If not, most of the people don’t learn.
With that, I shall give you 3 proven Runescape tips that I personally use now to prevent my Runescape account being scam. Ever since I started to use these 3 tips, my accounts are safe with me for years.
Runescape Password Scams
Rule Number 1: Never Give Away Your Runescape Username and Password!
Rule Number 2: Never forget Rule #1!
With that, this is a simple Runescape tip to follow, but why people do not follow them? I would say that most Runescape players like to brag. They like to show off.
So, they try to tell everyone their Runescape username. Some even gave their password so that others would help them to level their Runescape characters, or make them millions.
This is insane way of thinking!
That’s why, if you notice, I never tell anyone my Runescape username, and never even mentioned password. I never do that, and you should stop doing that too!
Runescape Autobots Software Scams
I talked a bit on Runescape stats changer, and also Runescape autominers previously.
The fact I wrote those articles is to warn people to stop looking for such software, and rather focus on improving their gameplay.
The best way is to Google for Runescape secrets, or come back to this website to check out more proven Runescape tips.

So, enough of telling you NOT to download software and they are illegal as written on Jagex website.
Runescape Website Scams
When you lock into Runescape.com for your gameplay, also check the URL of the website.
Make sure it is the exact website! Also remember to never click on any emails that say they are from Jagex. Make sure the link is valid too.
The problem with this is that, you might lock in your username and password into a scamming website.
What these website owners do is to make a website exactly the same as Runescape, and ask you to login with your username and password.
Once you done that, you will not be able to play the game!
And they will keep a record of your username and password. With that, they will lock in for you and change your password.
This is real bad! So do take note on it.

lol i use to get hacked all the time til i quit for a while, i just started back up with my 15m still in bank and ppl still keep TRYING to get my password.

Once a person in RS say that he can make me a member and I give him my UN & Pass, and he changed my pass and put all my valauabel stuff in Party R00m
But I recovered my AC and g0t it back, but I have to start all over again & make $$$.
N0w, I have full rune trim set and I won’t fall into any tricks or scam again!
And your tips are great, but tell ppl set recovery questions in case.

yeah recovery questions are a good thing to set and also register an email address so you can also recover your account quicker. When you set your password make sure that it is nothing to do with you like do not make password like say that you first name is george and your rs username is like ‘giscool’ or something like that do not make your password george even if your username is ‘fabul0u535′ or something, so again do not make your password have anything to do with you.

I made my recovery questions so only my personal friends would be able to figure even one out. Then the rest they have no clue and then my pass doesn’t relate to any of them.

SOmeone figured out my pass before and got some stuff out of my bank and put some in >.<. I made a bank pin and changed my pass. Always remember you bank pin and make one as soon as you join runescape.

Getting hacked is very bad but if you have Recovery Questions, Email registered, it would be easy but you will forget your recoverys and you can lose your account like that!

Thank you for the advice on keeping my runescape account safe I was always giving my passwords for people to earn me money one time this girl said she wanted to be a boy on runescape and I could go on here account her account was higher I say sure so I tell her my password she logs of and hacks me and I did not have enough time to change my password before she did and she never gave me her account

Good thing I know a lot about computers and explore a lot and learn a lot. One time, when i was like a level 38 on runescape, I was dumb enough to give someone my password to get a membership and they changed my password. Luckily,
I was able to go on the jagex account place. I was able to get my account back by having proof I was the real owner of the account and i got my account back =] Hope that helps. I definitely learned from that!

oh yea and have a bank pin and the person couldn’t get in!=] So get a bank pin and every time before u log out, bank all of your items and what u r wearing because the person who changed my password couldn’t get in m bank and i was wearing full adam and i couldn’t find my full help =[ I guess they just traded it with their account. when i got my account back, i reported the person for asking for information. always do that if someone ask for your pass.
